A long, long, long time ago there was a prince. He smoked a massive splif. The princes came and kissed the prince to wake him up. Unfortunately he became the Green Elephant. He started a backpackers hostel, which is the greatest in Africa. I really enjoyed it here Thnx & everything.

This backpacker’s is one of the best we visited so far in South Africa. Real friendly staff, nice house with a lot of peace, quiet, tables, chairs and couches: All things we miss while camping and we’re sure to return here after our visit to the Netherlands. What a wonderful, charming place. Back then I was a student, now I came back as organiser of a workshop. Seeing the grey water toilet was the cram on the cake( you have to be a greenie to understand).

Oh no!! We have to leave tomorrow. We wish we would stay for another two or three years, but we have to yet back to the Netherlands. This was really one of the very best places we stayed in during our stay in RSA. The staff is definitely the very best met. Everyone can really give you the information you want and they are very friendly too. We think it’s also very good that the Green Ele supports the community so much.

We will miss this place when we get back to Holland
